In my review of the Franklin Drive Thru Safari, I recommend getting a couple of buckets of feed whereas at the Aggieland Safari I recommend just sticking to one bag of feed.įranklin also has a really cool baby animal room and a lemur adventure (for an extra fee). You can also feed the animals right from your hand or the feed bucket which is a really cool experience. I found compared to Aggieland Safari, the Franklin Drive Thru safari’s drive thru section was much larger with a lot more animals. The drive thru is fun but it isn’t as big and it doesn’t have as many animals as the one in Franklin. You also can’t feed animals from the bucket or your hand. The first con of Aggieland Safari is that it’s more expensive than the Franklin Drive Thru Safari. Although Franklin Safari also has a playground, the one at Aggieland Safari is much larger. There were so many fun things to see in their walk around exhibits. I was really impressed with how clean their restrooms and picnic table area was. Something I love about Aggieland Safari is that it has a huge walk around area. This also means that you’re closer to restaurants if you want to stop for lunch or dinner on the way back. Aggieland Safari ProsĪ small advantage of Aggieland Safari is that it is a little closer than the Franklin Drive Thru Safari, if you’re coming from the Houston area.
